2)The first thing you do is read the prompt question and make sure you understand everythinjg it is asking you to do.
3)Well firstly the teo prompts are aking you to do two different things. In the first one it is aking how you think the two words are different refering to the story. Although the second one is asking how the author did something, in which you would have to revew the whole story and really explain yourself, not nesisarily looking at specific quotes in the text.

what you would notice in a persuasive essay is that the person is trying to persuade you to his/her side. in a argumentative essay you notice that the person is arguing that his/her point is better and exlains why he/she likes it.

Interpret and summarize a text are very to an analyze and explain text because analyze and explain mean that you examine in detail the structure of (something, esp. information), typically for purposes of explanation. likewise interpret and summarize means explain the meaning of (information, words, or actions).
the differnce between instinct and knowledge is that instinct is something you already know in your being. its second nature to you, you dont think about it, you do it. knowledge is something you learned and you need to think about it for it to come to mind or do.
Jack London creates a sense of detachment by making the character go into the freezing cold alone and without people, even though the character was told that he shouldn't go alone into the freezing winter alone.

To interpret and summarize a text means how the text sounded to you. It's what you got from the text. Analyzing and explaining a text is what the author intended the reader to get from the text.
